I have activstudio on my computer and a projector set up in my room. Can I purchase an activhub, pen and slate to use with my stand alone projector?

I think I’m supposed to have dual-user capabilities on my ActivBoard. I can’t get both pens to work at the same time! Is there something I’m missing, or do I need new pens?

    In order to use dual pens on a 300/500 series ActivBoard or on an ActivBoard that has ActivArena, you must activate the DualUser function. You can do this by selecting ‘Tools’ and then ‘Dual User.’

    This should cause a second toolbar to appear. This new toolbar will work with the student/light gray pen, while the teacher/dark gray pen (or your finger on a 500 series ActivBoard) will still control the main Toolbar. Hope this helps!

Promethean has an ActivBoard Cleaning Kit that can be purchased and used on the ActivBoards.

You may also use the Expo Dry Erase Board Wipes and/or Mr. Clean Magic Erasers among other cleaning products. The most important rule of cleaning the ActivBoards is to not use anything abrasive, as this will remove the non-glare finish.

I am trying to edit a flipchart that I downloaded from Promethean Planet… many items seem to be locked in place. How can I move or delete them?

    To unlock locked objects, text, or annotations you’ll need to either switch over to Design Mode (by clicking on the blue box at the top right hand side of your screen) or go into the Object Browser and unlocking the object from there.

Promethean Support

Is the Activboard’s flame symbol illuminated?

  1. For a newer ActivBoard, the power comes directly through the USB cable. Double check that the connection is properly secured and that the computer is on and the user is logged in.
  2. Unplug the connections, reconnect, and restart the computer. Be sure that the latest driver has been downloaded from Promethean Planet.
  3. For an older ActivBoard, ensure that the Activboard is plugged into a suitable electrical outlet via the Promethean supplied power cable; the cable is 25 feet long and comprises three components, all of which need to be properly connected.
  4. Reset the Activboard by un-plugging it from the electrical outlet and then re-plugging it into another electrical outlet, preferably the same as the computer.
  5. Use another Promethean-supplied power cable.
  6. Contact Promethean technical support.

Is the flame symbol steadily illuminated white?
